The research, commissioned by our sister charity Fresh Visions and led by Rocket Science UK Ltd, analysed our current anti-social behaviour data as well as community programmes.
The findings have been welcomed by our Safeguarding Team and are already shaping changes.
This report has enabled us to draw on Southern Housing’s data and the lived experiences of our residents. It will help us design a service offer to deliver a proactive, trauma‑informed approach and person-centred approach to domestic abuse. We’re committed to turning these insights into meaningful action that improves safety, stability, and outcomes for the people we support.
Fresh Visions supports adults and children to rebuild their lives after the trauma of domestic abuse through our specialist counselling services. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our funders to invest in this vital area of research, helping to advance trauma-informed practice across the housing sector and ensure survivors receive the understanding and support they deserve. Having dedicated charity projects enables us to provide timely, targeted support to our residents exactly when they need it most. By offering a truly bespoke service, we can reduce waiting times, create clear and direct referral pathways, and ensure vital help reaches our most vulnerable residents with confidence and consistency.
