Drawing on a rich mix of internal data sources - including the Knowing Our Residents report, Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM), Life in Focus survey, and the Resident of the Future report - we’ve built a picture of what life looks like for our older communities.

These insights explore key themes around neighbourhood and community, health and wellbeing, and household finances.

One of the standout findings from the Life in Focus survey is that older residents (those aged 65 and over) generally report better wellbeing outcomes than our younger residents. They’re more likely to feel safe, satisfied with their neighbourhoods, and connected to others. While they’re less likely to experience acute financial hardship, many rely on savings to manage rising costs, highlighting a different kind of financial pressure.

The graphics below offer a snapshot of the data, touching on the experiences of our older residents. These insights can both help us celebrate their contributions and ensure our services support their wellbeing and independence.
