Welcome to Resident Involvement

Billy Brown is the Chair of our Resident Strategy Group and member of our Board. He's been a social housing tenant since 2011 and became involved with us in 2020. Since then, he's used his lived experience to improve our services.

Billy is a qualified and experienced non-executive Director. He Chairs the Resident Strategy Group for Southern Housing and is a member of the Resident Services Committee. He is also a Board member of TPAS England, the tenant engagement experts.

He worked with the Regulator of Social Housing, helping to shape the Tenant Satisfaction Measures, and regularly speaks on behalf of residents to influence positive change across the sector.

Billy is an experienced panel member at conferences and events, including with TPAS, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and the National Housing Federation.

I believe we all have a great opportunity to help shape things for the future and give something back.
