St Peters Hospital Chertsey

Most residents have now moved into their new homes, giving keyworkers access to high-quality and affordable homes on the hospital site.

The redevelopment has delivered 147 new one and two-bedroom homes as well as some four-bed shared homes on the Guildford Road site, 138 of which are for keyworkers only, with the remaining nine flats available for social rent.

The first phase, completed in November 2022, provided 75 new homes. Following this, work began to replace the existing accommodation - built in the early 1970s - which had become increasingly difficult to maintain and no longer met modern standards. This second phase has now delivered an additional 72 high-quality, modern homes.

The project is a major milestone in our partnership with Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, regenerating the site and helping to create more secure and affordable accommodation for staff. The homes were built by contractor United Living.

We’re incredibly proud to have delivered these much-needed homes that offer real value for NHS staff, right on the doorstep of the hospital.

NHS staff work so hard to support our communities every day, so it’s great to have been a part of this and to see them moving into their new homes. We hope they’ll enjoy living in these homes and be a part of a vibrant community as it develops.

- Luke Chandler, Director of Delivery
