This winter, our Social Impact Team are collaborating with Generational Health and Fitness to bring weekly ‘Sit to Be Fit with Ellie’ classes to several Southern Housing schemes for residents aged 55 and over across the Isle of Wight.

These sessions make exercise fun and accessible for everyone. Filled with music, laughter, and light-hearted challenges to help improve mobility, strength, and coordination. But it’s not just about fitness, it’s about connection.

As the festive season approaches, the classes have become a highlight for many residents, offering a warm space to socialise, boost confidence, and share some cheer.

The classes are filled with joy, reminding us that staying active isn’t just good for the body, it’s good for the heart, too.
