Setting up a resident group

Residents looking to come together to share views, raise concerns and work collectively in their communities can do so by setting up a resident group.

There’s no expectation for you to set up a group, but if this is something you're interested in exploring further then Southern Housing can provide guidance and further support. If you choose to set something up, we’ll share practical advice, tools and resources to help you move forward.

There are four different ways you might choose to bring residents together. These options include setting up:

Local Resident Forums
Task & Finnish Projects
Formally Recognised Residents Associations (FRRA) or
Recognised Tenants Associations (RTA).

Each approach offers a different level of structure, support and recognition.
